Ms. Maru came with us this past Wednesday to the weekly Green City Market to see what fresh produce we could buy to use in our products. It is a great place to support our local farmers, meet friends, and just hang out. There is an abundance of vendors to buy vegetables, fruits, desserts, honey, and flowers from. There is free coffee to sip while you mingle and crepes made to order for you to noche on. You can also grab a pastry while you listen to some live music and get some bread for a homemade sandwich for lunch. We picked up some fresh basil from Growing Home INC and organic carrots to use in our customers order for our LICK LICK Pizza. And no, we did not forget about ourselves..the mozzarella from Brunkow Cheese of Wisconsin was delicious on our toasted panini, along with the leftover basil we made into pesto. Last, but not least, we did not see Crumb last week. Crumb is located right here in Chicago, and my friends cannot agree more, you need to check out their bread selections, really really delicious! It’s a great way to spend a Wednesday or Saturday morning relaxing with you pup.
